There is love in resurrection,

Life in resurrection,

Cycle upon cycle upon cycle

We are born, we live, we die,

In this earthly life we die many times and resurrect many times over.

Cheers to the resurrections that occur daily, weekly, yearly, year after year in a lifetime.

Some lives burst forth only for a short while and leave their mark of truth and beauty

On all of us who are resurrecting, over and over and over.

Hope bursts forth eternally and internally, in humanity, earth, nature, the cosmos.

Love is what humans are made for and give to the universe by giving back.

By paying attention.

Love comes from our Creator and resurrects all around so often we miss it if we are not careful.

Love comes in the face of the homeless man who waits at the bridge with a sign that says, “Out of work, need help, God Bless You.” You stick your hand out the window and give him a bottle of water, some food that doesn’t spoil easily, some gloves if it is winter. You look him in the eyes and smile and do not look away.

Love comes in the face of the elder sick man who you pick up and bring to Easter dinner and have communion with.

Love comes in the loving care of the mother for her baby who she knows will be gone before the year, because of a deadly diagnosis. She gets up each morning and looks for resurrection in each moment.

Love comes in the form of the giving artist who shares her art in beauty, hope, and trust that resurrection is breaking through to all she shares her art and verse.

Resurrection breaks through in love if we only look for it, respond to it.
