I saw God on that clear Sunday morning,
Strong, full of fire and ice;
Yet peaceful, serene, commanding the clouds.
It is said that Mt. Rainier controls the weather,
The rain, the clouds, the wind,
And is a powerful force in nature.
It provides sustenance for the wild animals, flowers, and trees, and all living things.
It’s glaciers melt and the varying weather patterns are somewhat unpredictable.
I fled to the mountains, like a bird,
Needing solitude, solice from the ways of the world.
I experienced refuge.
And I dwell on a holy hill,
In steadfast love.
